Megas First time in Europe

Despite his surprising humility, he is undoubtedly one of the most influential bboys of his generation.

For its 2018 edition, Groove Session took the opportunity to hire as a jury a dancer from Toronto named Megas (aka Vengeance). This legendary bboy of the Boogie Brats crew was very active during the 90s and early 2000s.

Despite his surprising humility, he is undoubtedly one of the most influential bboys of his generation. Indeed, by the gigantic advance he had over his time, the videos of his performances circulating on the web are still viewed and analyzed by the new generation. His very particular style, formalized by himself at the time under the name of “Origamy Style”, is now a major current in the breaking discipline. Indeed, many current dancers today certainly apply this theory without being aware that it was developed by Megas.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Break Social Club association, the promoters of Groove Session came into contact with him to invite him for the first time in Europe to a large-scale event. Indeed, following an absence from the breaking scene for health problems, the only images that circulated from him went back about fifteen years and helped to nourish his legend.

Honored by his arrival, it is quite natural that the organizers of Groove Session made a video in tribute to his talent and broadcast during the event.

This video applauded by the public present at the Centre de Vie de Neuchâtel made it possible to show the gratitude of the breaking community for Megas’ contribution to our culture. We are now very happy to have allowed this legendary dancer to regain the place he deserves and to make it known that he was now able to actively take part in the current stage.
